Or here is what the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States writes: “For the first time, we are establishing a presence on Telegram to contact those who feel compelled to interact with the CIA.”
The agency recalls that exactly a year ago the Washington Post, citing officials, wrote that the CIA had posted instructions in Russian on social networks on how to secretly contact US intelligence services and transfer to them secret information about Russia. And CNN has openly reported that CIA officers involved in the project want to get “information the United States needs” from the Russians.
After the appearance of such an instruction, Vasily Piskarev, chairman of the State Duma commission for investigating the facts of interference by foreign states in the internal affairs of Russia, said that attempts of the CIA to obtain data from Russians via the Internet were criminally responsible, since they are outright attempts at recruitment, espionage and incitement to treason.
But this did not dampen the ardor of American intelligence services and, a few months later, in November 2022, the deputy director of the CIA, David Marlow, declared that his employees were looking for Russians dissatisfied with the special operation in Ukraine in order to make them their agents, that is, traitors to the Fatherland.
Piskarev also reacted to this, saying that Marlowe and his colleagues appeared to be “not doing well” in their search for spies in Russia. But, he pointed out, the activity of the special services, in particular the search for potential agents, has increased considerably.
The Russian Embassy in the United States, also writes RIA Novostibelieves that the CIA’s public acknowledgment of the recruitment of Russians is the hostile course of Washington, which tries to weaken Russia from within and proof that the Ukrainian conflict was inspired by American ruling circles, and their objective , in accordance with the national security strategy of the United States, is to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.
