What is the program of the Tenth Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Ufa? – Russian newspaper

– Published on:

The motto of the forum is “Results and Perspectives”. Participants in the ten sections and the plenary session will summarize the work done over the years, dwell briefly on all the topics that have previously been discussed in the forums as independents (industrial policy, agro-industrial complex, humanitarian cooperation and others) . And a geographical particularity: this time the representatives of the delegations will meet in the East.

Breakout sessions will traditionally cover a wide range of topics: humanitarian cooperation, public diplomacy, implementation of a unified industrial and agricultural policy, tourism, volunteer program, modern information technologies. Business circles of the dialogue platform will discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation, development factors of family businesses and youth – plans for the development of youth parliamentarism. It is planned to sign intergovernmental and interregional cooperation agreements. Cultural, educational and sporting events will also be organised.

It is planned that throughout the forum there will be an exhibition of products from Belarusian manufacturers

Throughout the forum, an exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers will be organized, where participants and guests will be presented not only traditional products of the Belarusian food industry, but also the latest developments in the fields of agriculture, engineering, petrochemical production and technology. The exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers has already been formed. More than fifty Belarusian companies and organizations today confirmed their participation in the exhibition.

The large-scale Belarusian exhibition will be visited by senior officials from both states. The exhibition should be held in the adjacent streets to demonstrate the equipment, as well as in pavilions.
The Belarusian delegation will consist of 42 representatives. In total, about 300 people from Belarus will take part in the official events included in the program. Of course, these are only those who participate in the sections, the plenary session and other events. In general, at least five hundred people will go to Ufa from the Belarusian side.

One of the key sections of the forum will be the section devoted to unified industrial policy.

  • The President of Belarus constantly emphasizes that the economy is the basis of our development and interaction. As part of the work of our section, we want to identify starting points for industrial policy. The agreement has been signed, but there are problematic issues that need to be resolved. Last year, we also discussed the recognition of technological operations of Belarusian companies in Russia, the recognition of electronic signatures. I believe that the forum will develop measures that will help overcome the difficulties that some of our companies face when entering the Russian market, – Tatiana Runets, Chairwoman of the Republic Council Standing Committee on Economy, Budget and finance, shared his business expectations.

The main outcome of all regional forums is the signing of agreements and contracts. It is planned to sign agreements in each section, during the plenary session, as well as during the meeting of governors with the presidents of the upper houses of parliaments. Last year, as a result of the forum, commercial contracts worth about one billion dollars were signed. Now, we can already speak of the equivalent of a billion and a half dollars.
